CPL Privacy Policy

Cup Pong League (“CPL”) uses account, tournament, communication, ranking, and map information to operate the live tournament system. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, what can be public, and how to contact us.

CPL is built so public tournament pages use usernames, team names, profile images, and tournament stats. First names, last names, phone numbers, emails, passwords, and admin/security records should stay private and backend-only unless disclosure is required for support, safety, security, legal compliance, or authorized admin operations.

1. Information we collect

Account information: username, first and last name, email, phone number, password hash, verification status, opt-in status, region, profile image, and account security history.
Tournament information: tournament names, backend IDs, PIN settings, organizer account, team names, player usernames, table assignments, check-ins, score submissions, brackets, standings, match status, points, and organizer/admin actions.
Payment and rental information: checkout session details, Whop purchase/webhook events, rental windows, organizer access, and purchase status. CPL does not store full credit card numbers.
SMS and email information: outbound messages, inbound replies such as YES, NO, HELP, STOP, HERE, START, and tournament commands, delivery status, timestamps, and related support/audit records.
Map and location information: CPL map pin submissions, venue/location names, addresses, schedules, organizer qualification status, uploaded pin logos/images, and activity checks.
Technical and security information: session data, device/browser details, IP-derived region, request logs, error logs, rate-limit activity, abuse reports, and admin alerts.

2. How we use information

3. Information that may be public

Public CPL areas may show your username, profile image, team name, team image, tournament participation, wins, overtime records, points, standings, rankings, bracket placement, and map pin information. CPL is designed to avoid showing real first/last names, phone numbers, or email addresses on public rankings and tournament views.

4. SMS, email, and opt-outs

CPL sends transactional SMS messages and emails when needed for account verification, admin approval, tournament check-ins, result flow, organizer alerts, purchase/rental notices, account recovery, and support. Reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS where supported. Reply HELP for help. Stopping required tournament texts may limit your ability to participate in live tournament workflows.

5. Service providers and sharing

CPL may use trusted providers to operate the system, including hosting/database providers, Cloudflare, Telnyx for SMS, Whop for checkout and purchase webhooks, Google Workspace/SMTP for email, and security/monitoring tools. We may also disclose information when necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, safety, security, or enforcing CPL rules.

6. Retention and security

CPL keeps information as long as needed to operate tournaments, maintain rankings and historical records, provide support, protect against abuse, comply with payment/legal obligations, and secure the platform. We use backend permissions, audit logs, rate limits, verification, and role checks to protect account and tournament data.

7. Your choices

This policy is practical product-policy information for CPL users and organizers. It is not legal advice.
