CPL Data Deletion Process

You can request deletion of your CPL account data. CPL will verify the request, remove or anonymize eligible account information, and preserve limited records when needed for security, tournament integrity, payment records, legal compliance, or fraud prevention.

Deleting an account is different from replying STOP to SMS. STOP controls SMS messages where supported. A deletion request asks CPL to remove or anonymize eligible account data.

1. How to request deletion

  1. Email support@cuppongleague.com with the subject line CPL Data Deletion Request.
  2. Send the request from the email attached to your CPL account when possible.
  3. Include your CPL username and the last four digits of the verified phone number on the account.
  4. If CPL needs more confirmation, we may ask you to verify ownership by email, SMS, or another reasonable account check.

2. What CPL can delete or anonymize

3. What may be retained

CPL may retain or anonymize some records instead of fully deleting them when needed to protect tournament history, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, comply with payment/legal obligations, maintain audit logs, or preserve the integrity of brackets, scores, rankings, and organizer/admin actions.

Tournament records: completed brackets, standings, match results, points, and event history may remain in anonymized or username-replaced form so tournament records do not break.
Payment records: Whop checkout/rental history and related logs may be retained as required for accounting, tax, fraud, dispute, or legal purposes.
Security records: admin actions, login/security logs, abuse reports, rate-limit data, and audit records may be retained to protect CPL and its users.
Active events: if your account is inside an active tournament, CPL may wait until that event completes or safely remove/anonymize participation without corrupting the tournament.

4. Timing

CPL aims to review deletion requests within a reasonable period, typically within 30 days after identity verification. Complex requests, active tournament records, legal obligations, payment disputes, or security investigations may take longer.

5. Team and tournament images

Temporary team images and tournament-specific uploads may be removed or archived after tournaments are completed. Account profile images are handled as part of the account deletion process.

6. Contact

Send deletion requests or questions to support@cuppongleague.com.
